95 honda civic
new to this, just wanted to get an idea of what kind of motor swap I should do. I just bought this car and its my first project. Don't know too much about cars, other then I like Hondas and I want to build it. I have a mechanic working with me, but I definitely would like some ideas as to where I should start. Oh, Its a 95 civic Dx hatchie. it has a b16 sohc. I just recently had to stop driving it bcuz there the anti freeze started leaking thru the exhaust. I knew I needed a new head gasket but didn't take care of it. So now that I have no choice but to take care of it I was thinking about doing the swap. any ideas??
A head gasket and a little elbow will be far easier on your bank account then an engine swap. It was a 4 hour turn around and 40 dollars to have a machine shop check my head and it was all done same day for about 80 dollars total. That also paid for itself when I swapped motors because it sold for a decent amount cause it still worked.
That should save you money until you know what you want to do with your car.
