Thoughts?

 

My thoughts are this. short rams and CAI's don't do a whole hell of a lot. People say they notice gains and I guess maybe idk but in all honesty they probably just notice a louder engine and in the placebo effect assume they have some kind of noticeable gain.

If I were going to put a short ram in my V I'd just get the cheap universal tubing from autozone and fit it on there with whatever filter I decided. aside from looking cooler I doubt you get much of anything from one of those super expensive injen or whatever cai's vs some cheap *** tubing from anywhere else.

maybe i'm completely wrong and thats my 2 cents, but there's not way i'd actually spend real money on a cai unless I was going to car shows and had a show quality engine bay.

 

Yeah you don't notice anything on a stock engine. You mite get like 2 more hp from it, that's about it. I have a short arm intake on mine, but I'm running no filter, I have a velocity stack on mine.

The only real people that will get the 15 plus HP is guys running big engine and have stuff done to it.
