Default Keep it simple? Or have fun with it?

Hello again guys! I have just a quick question regarding my crv. I'm thinking about painting the brake calipers red for extra HP and maybe painting the side mirrors black to match the black trim on the car. Am I going too far with it? The problem is that my brother thinks It's a bad/dumb idea. Now I know I shouldn't care what he thinks but I do.

Here's my car so far;http://s1367.photobucket.com/user/Er...tml?sort=3&o=0

Here you go bud! Why dont you just do one thread where you can update all about the crv together? Just asking!

Meh. I'd skip the mirrors and just bet some bug/ rain guards for the black accents youre looking for.

And unless you're driving a Ferrari... painted calipers are never ok.

Haha why all the hate on painting the calipers? lol and yeah I probably should just make a build thread. The spare tire was painted by me when I had an itch to do something with the car. The rest of the rims are black now to match.

Why draw attention to a OEM and uninteresting aspect if your car? If you had some nice looking Brembo's or similar then different story.
Do you want to paint the windsheild wipers pink or the door handles yellow? Same deal

Well Considering you have a EX model CRV I would advise against painting the mirrors. I know it wasn't the case for the 1st gen CRV but in my experience with hondas if you have some misc. part that is on every vehicle and it isn't painted (Mirrors, License Plate area, etc) it's a dead giveaway that the model is either a LX, VP, DX, etc but it's not the top model of the EX.

Or at least thats how I would identify models when I worked at Honda.

Also, with the same reasoning as NZ gave for the Calipers why bring attention to an area of the vehicle that is dis-interesting in the first place.

I love your painted bumpers. Is that all Plastidip? I wish you would've kept the grill surround green because it looks a little out of place and hidden away being all black

If you really wanna black something else out, I suggest the headlights. That would look good.

It would be cool if we had bigger calipers with bigger rotors
I think the rl capipers are a tad bit bigger and nicer and will fit the crv if I'm not mistaken

we have Integra Type R front brakes...cant really ask for more at that age of a vehicle. Only thing that had larger brakes was the NSX, which i dont believe the CRV is comparable to at all. lol

Is it difficult doing the headlights? I tried reading about it and thought it would be overwhelming. And nope that's not plastidip(Hadn't heard about it when I was painting them.) it's just Krylon satin black paint

Honestly its pretty simple, you just need to take your time and follow instruction especially the oven part (if you dont wanna make headlamp soup that is lol)
