Dumb Question
Either im completely retarded or i have no AC/heater in my car can someone show me a picture where the heater core, blower, and AC Compressor is at... i think the guy i got my car from took it all out but put the controls in the car
yeah tried that all i get are the actually parts im wanting like a picture of where it is in the engine just to make sure its not there... i know my AC Compressor isnt there but if i can at least get my heater working that would be awesome.
All your heater stuff is under your dash. Only thing visible from the engine bay is the coolant lines for it. Look for two lines going to the firewall. I believe one has a visable cable(switch) on it.
Very unlikely that somebody went through the trouble of removing the heater core as it is tucked away behind the dash.
Check along your firewall in the engine bay and see if you can spot any hose nipples coming out through behind the intake manifold and above the rear transmission mount.
Also, check for this valve.
Notice the control cable that hooks to the lever on it. That goes to the control panel on your dash. When you switch to heat, the lever actuates and allows water to pass into the heater core

If the two pipes are sticking through the firewall into the engine bay, you can be SURE that the heater core is there.
No need to rip anything apart.
Then check the two pipes to make sure they have hoses going to the engine.
Then make sure the valve circled in the pic from previous post is there.
See if cable is on lever of valve.
DO all that and post back what you find!

yeah all thats there i think my thermostat is bad or the unit i had in there was just crap... it was cracked next to the **** to change from cold to hot... so i just took it out and will replace all of it...
You want to change the climate control?
Good luck finding one that doesn't cost a fortune. They're almost all broken, and those that aren't have been sold for near $400 used.
Be gentle with the broken one and repair it as best possible.
