Default Quiet Exhaust system/muffler?

Does anyone out there know a quiet exhaust system? I want something cool sounding but not obnoxious like some of the hondas where I live. Do I have any other options besides the obx catback? And if that's the case do silencers work at all? Any help you can give would be great! Thanks in advance.

^your answer is NOPE! NONE! Fab it up yourself or get the OBX one and maaybe you can try a silencer on it? lol

on another note: I'm waiting on my source for an exhaust system for my V mid/end of summer hope they come through then soon everyone can get one as well

I'm holding out in hopes they come through but if you need one you need one

Alrighty then, What's a rough estimate on the cost for fabrication work? In case you didn't know from my other posts I'm sorta on a tight budget lol. I'll probably just end up leaving this crv stock. Maybe I'm in the wrong hobby lol

lol its not cheap that's for sure... and it does suck for people on a budget. but when you do something you feel acompleshed
what you can do is get a 00 civic exhaust and do some modding it will be a little short you will have to weld in a few pieces of piping. but if its awd you are going to have to weld in a 90 degree pipe so it dips under your drive shaft. its not allot of fun to do ill tell you that haha

A local place (Tachyon) who wanted to over charge me for new coilovers gave me a quote for around 425 for fabrication work. Is that somewhere near where it should be or is that overpriced as well?

call up GAP Exhaust and see what they can do. I've taken a few cars there for exhaust work. It's on Poplar Level rd in Newburg place is kinda weird cats are in the waiting room. Never hurts to get another quote.

I'd just stick with the ole stock exhaust, you drive a CRV after all not a racecar.

imo, loud exhaust is obnoxious unless its on something with a v8 and you don't do daily activities in it.

DAMN! thats way over priced!! a shop by me charged my friend like 50 to weld a new muffler on that he had just sitting in his garage(not full exhaust) and im pretty sure they said they could do a catback for like 250 might a little higher then that i dont remember it was a while ago.

You can get a Vibrant black muffler or what everyone calls them (Vibrant stealth) They are not to loud at all. Magnaflow also makes a muffler the same pretty much. I've had both and I liked the Magnaflow better, just it's not black its a polished muffler.
