why you ask?? i had my car recently serviced there, i went there for warranty repairs.. and when i had picked up my car it showed the mileage in and the mileage when there were done.... the last two digits on the paper were 89...and my odometer read 95 on the last two digits... so i went to the service department and started askin questions.. and they said..."well since you picked up your car two days after it was done... we had to park it in the service bay so we had to move your car!" i think thats bullshit its only five steps away from the service department window! so i said whatevers and left... i guess there getting a bad review for their service by me? what do you guys think? O ya and on a side note.. i guy there said my car was pretty fast! (a tech over there who is a member here, supposedly)
If someone is posting that they drove your car (as a tech in the dealership) I'd print it out, first of all. I'd try to find out who the person was that drove your car and take that info to the dealer. I'd call the service manager, and if not that person, I'd call the dealership manager/owner.
IF someone drove your car at the stealership, this kind of thing (techs posting about it on webboards) has happened before. I'm sure someone has the link about the chick with the new 03 cobra and the tech who posted about tearing the **** out of it while in for service.

If it was sent in for warranty repairs most likely they did a road test before and after. Albeit 6 miles is a bit high, it's nothing out of the ordinary. When I worked at porsche, they'd drive the car around for blocks until they came back. And none of these techs were the type to **** around. Dealing with Turbo's C4s's Boster S's.. etc.
a good mechanic will always test out his work. that means, they'll drive it around the block or so. sure 6 miles is a lot, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. if the quality of the work performed was good, there should be no reason why you should give them a poor review.
i worked @ a honda dealership, and let me tell you, you're never getting a new car. the moment a new car comes in that's high performanced, there will be people driving around at WOT. the people who test drive the cars will be driving them @ WOT too, sometimes, in order to test it out. and most of the cars you buy are perfectly normal after this tearing around. just something to think...

what I used to do was put the exact milage of the car on a post it note and stick it to the instrument panel. This way you know exactly how much they drove it and it also lets them know that you are keeping a close eye on this.

Dude your ****. When I worked at the dealer I got it both ways.
You didn't even drive it. You only took it around the block. How do you know it was fixed?
You must of been out racing, Why else would it have xx miles on it now.
Most techs put down 5-10 miles without even looking. Also 90% of them drive any and all cars at wot, not just your R.

Afther getting tires balanced, tech took it around the block and came back right infront of me. I didnt mind because he was doing his job making sure it was balanced!
I'm sure it was same case, making sure it was fixed.

Yea I always hoped a R would come in the dealer so I could drive the car a 100 miles. Then spend an hour removing the cluster and tearing it down to set back miles, then put it back together and reinstall it. There was nothing I looked forward to more than wasting 3 hours of my time to drive a car thats slower than mine. After all dealership tech get paid by the job so why not throw away your paycheck?

alrite alrite... im not ****.... im tryin to tell you i did write on a paper my mileage.. and the last two digits were 84.... so on the R.O. it was 89, stating that when the car was done it was at 89...so necessarily that means they test drove and everything.. and then after that... when i stepped in my car... the odometer says 95... so... that means even after all the test drives, etc. Someone was still joy riding in my car rite? Now tell me you wouldnt be mad.. if someone who worked on your car... came up to you and told you your car was real fast.... now the weird thing is.. the guy that drove my car took it to redline cuz he was tellin me... then when i went to go talk to the guy behind the counter he says they never take the car into vtec unless authorized by the owner?

o and warranty work was for 1 to 2 syncros... and they stated they only drove it around the block twice once before and once after... must be a pretty long block for 4 or even 10 miles am i rite?
If it was a synco problem then they prob drove it so that they can shift at redline to see if there is really a prob. I had my 3 gear synco changed and the service rep asked me if i had cams in it because the tech said my car was faster then alot of R's that come in for service......ohhhh ****......now that i think of it im not coming back to that place....haha...but they did do good work for me...
