Default cd player delete plate help

I'm pretty sure I'm missing something here but why won't it snap into place?

looks as if the bottom tabs on the either side of the delete don't line up with the dash bezel.

Well I had a delete plate before but I put in a cd again and now I'm using it to put a boost gauge and oil pressure gauge but I can't remember how it fit perfect like before.....I put the bottom in first but the top just won't lock in

Your missing the metal "clips" that go on the bottom "tabs", they lock into the small rectangular holes in the tabs.

Also pretty sure they are supposed to be on top. 94
