Default Clutch fork on tranny very loose.

Hey guys so I just bought a swap from a friend .

I noticed that the clutch fork is very loose and doesn't have the constant pressure to the right, that makes the slave cylinder have to push it to the left to disengage the clutch
I have a video of the the clutch fork (its not my video, but same exact problem)

what do you guys think it is ? broken clutch fork or release bearing or pressure plate ?

thanks in advanced

Looks like the fork spring is missing. You should see it poking through that slot on the top of the arm. There's another on the bottom. Hard to tell, but it ALMOST look like it's floating around on the left side of the arm there.

I think I saw the spring or whatever that is called dangling on the left. Its supposed to hold the fork against the pivot point connected on the end of the release fork bolt.

oooh i see, i think it is there but out of place ... is that "spring" the only reason that the fork is suppose to have pressure going to the right ? thanks 94CivicSi

I'm only asking this because the guy that uploaded the video said that his "Clutch fork broke in half " after he took his tranny out

obviously i have to take it apart regardless, but just trying to get a good idea of what I'm going to have to do ...

94CivicSi, how do these springs get put out of place ?

Spring could break I guess. When the fork breaks you can't shift at all. Your friend could still drive with the fork like that?

Edit: can't shift at all using your clutch. Can still shift if you rev match your gears

I have broken a clutch fork. They break right at the pivot ball, so you can probably get your finger in there far enough and feel if it's cracked or not.
