Default Strange MOMO Wheel

Steve added more pictures to http://forums.itrexpo.com/zerothread?id=15014 where he's trying to sell my track car.

This old steering wheel has stayed on the car throughout its iterations, surprisingly.

It's a MOMO wheel that was an option in markets where SRS was not required.

It's bigger than a JDM wheel, and I always felt it was easier to shuffle steer with it when you had no power steering.

:-)

Always seemed like a logical add-on to me, but I've never seen one on another ITR in the USA.

That looks like it.

I have always liked them but they have never been as popular as the "JDM" wheel.

I was uploading pictures in the for sale thread, and here's a head on picture of the wheel.

I've always liked this wheel better than any other...it's just easy to shuffle steer and big enough that you can put some torque on it when necessary, to move around the paddock.

To answer the questions....

This wheel was optional on Civic and Integra in markets that did not require SRS.

The one on my car was originally on a regular Integra.

There is a rather rare ITR-specific wheel with either red or yellow stitching, depending on the market. They are rare and the only place I have seen one is in period literature.

Got a picture/link? I'm always interested in something I haven't seen before!

Literature is packed away somewhere. Sorry.

I saw one with red stitching for sale on eBay about 7 years ago! :-) They are really rather rare.

They were only in the accessory catalogue, and only in markets where SRS was not required.

If you want one, I'd think about eBay in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.

I dunno. Maybe you should tell us what you know and how you know it, because the rest of us are going off of personal experience and anecdotal reports.

I have seen a picture of the version of the wheel that was intended to be optional on the Type R Integra, red stitching and everything.
