Night hawk black paint buff?
anyone have some good tips on getting the OEM night hawk black paint on my RSX to really shine and take out most of the swirl marks? i know how to buff and wax, but all the waxes i have don't really seem to take out the swirl marks. I really hate how many little things show up in this paint and how hard it is to keep looking good. thanks
Wetsand the entire car with 3000 grit sandpaper just to the point thqt the clearcoat is hazy looking invest in a high speed buffer with a coarse wool pad and a fine polishing wool pad with the coarse pad and use some meguiars medium cut buffing compound it will polish it fairly well then with the polishing pad buff with meguiars swirl remover, wash the pad, then go over the car with show car glaze from you guessed it: meguiars. Note: buff on low speeds or its easy to burn through the clearcoat and never leave the buffer in one spot. Afte allllll that wax the car with some mothers carnauba wax and you will be golden. Thats what I do with every customers car that I have after I finish painting a car minus the waxing part.
I use 3m products on my personal cars because theyre better quality in my opinion. meguiars is still a great product though I use it on customer cars because its less expensive and more cost effective.
