New member from Virginia. Just another eg hatch restoration
Hey guys. New here. Just came out of the BMW and Chevy s10 scene. Im new to hondas and to the forum.
Any way. enough small talk. on to the build.
The car is a 1995 Civic DX Hatch from Honda Canada. I don't know it that means much to anyone, but I think its cool (if it means anything or is in fact cool or rare or anything else, please let me know)
The guy i got it from stripped it down and put in a d15 mini me (with what i think is a y7 head) to get the most gas mileage as he could. So it had nothing but front seats and a dash. not too much of a worry for me because i will eventually be doing a custom interior.

the rough part for me was the paint.

after two days of me driving it to work like that, i had had enough of the comments from my buddies and was sick of looking at it so i went to walmart and did the dreaded rattle can job. say what you want, but a it was already rattle canned. i just changed the color so i didnt feel like puking every time i saw it.

not the best but like i said much much better than what it was.
im not gonna do to much more talking. ill just post the pictures i have and label them. but i will keep this thread going as there will be a lot of work put into this thing in the next couple months.

engine bay a few days after i got the car and painted it.

checking various parts to make sure i got a solid car

day 2 of owning the car with my best friends mustang.
checking valve lash and painting the valve cover.
painted valve cover

threw together a rear seat delete to put my sub on. everything is gonna get carpeted eventually.

happy with how the paint came out

took an entire day and scrubbed down the engine bay. still needs a good bit of cleaning up, but its getting there.

not bad for a quick spray. spun supamesh wheels are going on in a few weeks.

as far as the future plans for the car, i am taking out the eibach springs and putting in coilover sleeves, painting the car the right wat (probably a silver or blue), finishing the interior, and probably looking into a z6 swap. I have the engine but it needs to be built.
thanks for looking! I'll have an update soon

****UPDATE****
Not much else has been done to the car lately. the last real thing i have done was scrub the engine bay down. i have found some spots in the paint that need to be touched up but i am trying to decide if i want to stay with that color or not
also just waiting on some parts such as wheels and racing seats.
