Engine revs until i completely stop
Lately ive been having weird issues with my engine.
Once in a while i would be driving and before a stop light i would put my car into neutral. After putting it in neutral my engine starts to rev up to around 2k-3k rpms and stays in that range. Once i completely stop at the stop light the engine goes back to idling normally.
I have a 2000 Civic Ex coupe with a d16y8.

it keeps idling high after ive let go of the gas pedal and when i completely stop it will go back down but this does not happen all the time it only happens about once every two weeks
Sounds like a leak inside your brake booster... cam the port on your intake manifold that currently has the hose connecting the engine and the brake booster and see if the issue goes away. If so, check the check valve in the booster line, and if it is functioning, then replace the booster.
It's the TPS for sure, my friends car was just doing that before we replaced it. I would get a new TPS and make sure on the plug you plugin the TPS, the red and yellow wire aren't swapped around, cause this is what did it for my friend.
