Trying to decide between rear upper control arms
Hello guys, im trying to decide between some control arms here since my current ball joints are on their way out. Anyone have experience with the dormans: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...841&cc=1167162
or these moog r series?: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...836&cc=1167162 . If anyone thats used these products can give me some feedback on them that'd be great. I dont really wanna break the cash on the moog problem solvers but i will if i need to. Thanks in advance.

Just buy new lower ball joints? They are honestly not that difficult to install at home, you can have somebody press them in and out as well. A LOT cheaper option.
Is the integrity of the upper control arm(s) compromised? (Bends, Heavy rust (not surface), missing portions, etc)
If not, just get the ball joints.

Not really too much.. just dirty it seems i cleaned them off. Where would i go to get the ball joints pressed in? I dont have one myself. That being said what are some good ball joints? Rockauto only lists 2 brands, raybestos and dezza.
Turns out the arms are a bit more effed than i initially expected, it'll be easier to replace the whole unit. So back to my original question, anyone that can vouch for these parts?

I would say Moog, reason being they have a name for themselves and dorman, I know they exist but I haven''t heard much about them besides our window switches,
Dorman has been around for years (1920's or so) and offer all kinds of products.....they even have the egr kit for the 6th gen v6's.
I've used a number of their products (control arms, exh manifold 5th gen, window regulators, ect) and have not had any issues.
Again, just my experience.

My personal preference for suspension is moog. They make way better quality than any other mfg i have used. Just my two cents.

Ten years ago, yes...no contest that Moog was a quality brand. IMHO when the parent company - Federal Mogul went broke a few years back they went down hill.
All right thanks for the responses gents, seems like ill probably end up getting the dormans since people have been on the wall about moogs lately.
