Default 4" full exhaust on eg

I'm planning on doing 4" exhaust on my hatch but was curious to see how people were routing the piping. Seems like 4" would be too big to go over the rear control arm. Just curious to see pics of how it's been done before.

We do a lot of fab work here so doing it isn't a problem. It looks like you were able to go over the control arm? Was the car low at all? Mines far from slammed but it is lowered.

Thanks Rob! And yea, that goes over the LCA. His car wasn't very low but he had plenty of clearance with it. Perfect exhaust for an FIS class monster hatchy!!

I used to have a full 4" exhaust routed over the control arm on my old integra with a 4" bullet at the end..here's a vid of it on the track:

That's what I'm doing. I'll be using a vibrant 5" long race muffler at the end.

They offer the same one in 9" length, I just like the look of a raw stubby muffler. I know those mufflers don't do much for quietning it down, but as long as its not dumping under the car I'll be fine with it.

Vibrant makes a 4" flat black stealth unit. That is what is going on mine. 4" aluminum, pretty much stock height. No clearance issues.

I'm doing the small bullet style race muffler, more like a resonator. I like the look

Finally got around to finishing this. Ended up using a vibrant muffler that was laying around.

It's every bit of a street car. Full interior daily driven and I plan for it to stay that way. Street cars are the most fun.

Here is a 4" aluminum I did for my CRX. It even fits with the factory rear sway bar. I have since added a vibrant 4 inch muffler to the cross section in the back and a stainless tip. Hope this helps.

I do hope these are built cars not stock, 4 inch on a stock motor is idiotic, built motor is a different story

Nice looking exhausts I wish I had a motor that would warrant such a nice setup.

Stock engine cars. Why would you rebuild an engine and then put a 4" exhaust on it? You put a 4" exhaust on a stock engine. Sounds good and tons of performance gains to be had without tuning.

Lol I'm sure every car in this thread with a 4" exhaust has a built motor. Mines only a little b16 but it is sleeved and o-ringed. I'm leaving it on pump/meth for now with the s360 so I could have easily gotten away with 3" exhaust but when we built the turbo setup, we did a 4" down pipe so I figured why not go all the way back with 4". There's a good chance I'll go to a bigger turbo and race gas in the future.

It's so much quieter now and I love it. Fitting 4" pipe with the asr sway bar was a little tricky but surprisingly enough, it doesn't rattle against anything back there.
