Hey guys I am asking if there is a difference between my Cali catalytic converter and the 49 state/high flow cats? Obviously the price is one thing and the material used, but is there a difference in flow rates/power gained if any at all between two? I only ask this because I am thinking about buying a high flow cat, and was wondering where to buy one like a Magnaflow or any other brand out there. A lot of places wont sell to me since I do live in California, makes sense they are watching their ***. Thanks guys if you do reply to this thread! Its much appreciated.

trust me I totally understand that and yes my car is street driven, but I would like to install a high flow cat or the 49 state legal one I just need to find a vendor that is willing to play ball. I am wondering would all the fuss even be worth it to get this type of cat delivered to me here in Cali?
If you have a 5th gen, get the magnaflow 446604. It is a CA exempt (approved) high flow cat. I paid $322 for mine at Rock Auto (everyone else online wanted $395).

I do have a 5th gen and I did buy the Magnaflow 446604 Cali cat,and yes they were crazy expensive I paid $280 for mine. I didn't think it was a high flow cat, but I will have to do a bit more research into it.
