Default No VTEC and Cyl. 4 Misfire

Just installed an oem rebuilt motor. Motor runs like it should but it has no vtec and a misfire in cylinder 4. Could these two be related? Any info would be appreciated. I searched and only find the common problems; spark, air/fuel, compression, ect. which are all okay. Any info will be appreciated as I am very anxious to drive this car after two years.

CEL is for the misfire and an oxygen sensor, possibly both sensors.

Perhaps VTEC will not engage unless all four cylinders are firing properly?

VTEC won't engage due to the CEL.
Have you tried a crank sensor or maybe another distributor?
Is it a BAD misfire? As in, #4 cylinder not firing at all? Or just a random misfire?

I'll help you as much as I can. Text/call me, you have my number.

Because of which cel won't it engage? The misfire or the o2 sensor? Haven't tried a crank sensor or another dizzy yet, and the misfire isn't TOO bad.

I'll PM you.
