Default Rear Window Tint - second layer stuck

Hi,
I have honda 2002 accord and tried to remove the rear window tint. First layer came off very quick when i had soaked the window with soap solution and garbage bag. But, the second layer is being a pain. Tried ammonia, steamer, heat gun et....

I bought below item from menards as per the forum's suggestion. This doesnt help either... any suggestions?

I had the same situation on 97 Civic, window tint was baked in the desert for 16 years. The rear window tint especially difficult because sun dried and stuck to the defroster lines ... 5 words: "steam, steam, and more steam." Eventually, if you steam the window tint long enough that last layer will loosen and peel off. A long neck scraper from Harbor Freight also helped. good luck...such a pain

go to wal mart and buy a clothing steamer. steam your windows until is super moist and hot and the tint will peel right off. no sticky residue left over

Heat gun from harbor freight... heat it up enough and it should loosen the adhesive and peel off. It'll leave glue behind so follow that with a good foaming glass cleaner and scrape as much as you can off with a razor blade. You'll probably go through a few blades. If you're lucky, a heat gun, glass cleaner and blades is all you will need. I have done two cars this way with great results. But if there is still glue left over, a good liquid adhesive remover and rag should get the rest off.

Omg dude, please do not use a razor blade on the rear window to get tint off, I did that on my first civic and ended up scraping the defroster lines with it.

Ok, well.... I should reword things. Use the razor blade and glass cleaner to scrape the adhesive off but be smart enough to only scrape the glass.
