Default Locking the steering wheel, beforing applying Club lock.

Does this make a difference? If you lock your steering wheel, by turning it to the left or right, AND THEN adding the club lock after wards? I feel like it does, but somebody else was telling me it makes no difference.

I doubt it since when they steal your car they just cut the steering wheel with a saw and take the club off.

They do this.

The club is a waste of money.

Technically it does make a difference....

Leave the steering wheel unlocked = they cut the steering wheel or break the club, use whatever Honda key and start the car and drive away

Lock the steering wheel = still have to cut wheel or break club but then have to break the ignition housing away to get the steering wheel to unlock.

Then, think about the money you'd save from not actually having your car stolen if you installed some actual useful security vs. having the car stolen and having to fix all kinds of broken crap that was done to bypass the club and steal the car. That is, if you actually get it back.

thank you .. you actually answered my question.. and to everybody else.. yes the club can be bypassed by sawing or breaking, but the point is it is used as a temporary road block and kills time.

^ Fair enough. Good security does involve layering.

That's only if you have other layers. If that's your only layer, because you didn't say, then you're just asking for it.

I understand.. its just someone from a mechanic shop was asking me, " why would you lock your steering wheel first, and then put on a club lock? i never heard of anyone ever doing that, it doesn't make a difference "..

and it made me think.. cuz i been doing this for the last two years, in my head i just thought it would make it A BIT more harder for the thief.. but if locking the steering wheel doesnt make a difference (IM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE CLUB. ill stop doing it

locking the wheel MAY help a tad. i say this becasue on my buddies birthday my and a pal literally stole his car WITH the club still installed and drove it 5 blocks away and hid it. it may have been a cheap club (unsure cause it wasnt mine) but ya drove it round acouple of blocks and parked it. since that day i have never trusted a club. only alarm system with proximity sensor and glass break sensor.
