y8 mani on a6
well im gonna be swappin the y8 mani onto my a6, but I have a few questions, and yes I searched but couldn't find a good write up for this, everythin was for diff motors. anyways, I know I gotta use a 84-86 si throttle cable bracket but cant find one so modding one, but will the a6 injectors fit in the y8 mani and rail, am I using the y8 iacv, tps? I know I gotta relocate the iat sensor to the intake tube close to tb. an am I usin the a6 map or the y8? and I need to know bout the vac lines, I currently only have the fpr,map and dash pot vac lines on the a6, everythin else is gone.
someone wanna chime in please, all the write ups im seein is for the whole head and converting to obd1, I don't need that right now just need to know if the obd2 y8 mani is fine with changin out the injectors?
you can re use your a6 injectors. the a6 throttle body wont bolt to the a6 intake manifold, the bolt pattern is different. you can use a y8 or a z6 or a b7 or an integra throttle body.
map sensor is dependant on throttle body
iat you CAN use the stock a6 one, poke a hole in the intake coupler and zip tie it on if you can't get a y8 iat...
tps is the same, just make sure it's dialed in (.5v closed, and 4.5 volts wot)
are you running your charcoal canister and evap solenoids?

ok well found out bout all the sensors except for one, im havin comflicting stories bout the iacv, bein told I need to convert it from 3 wire to 2 wire. the y8 mani is a manual and iacv is located on back, im hearing if its a manual its a 2wire plug and Il be fine, because the auto y8 its located on the tb and its 3wire. and im also havin people say all the y8 iacv are 3wire because its obd2. can anyone clarify.
You need to use the manual intake manifold and TB.
You can't just "convert" to a different wire configuration.
Either map sensor will work, just make sure you have the vacuum lines correct if you use the firewall one.

I used the iacv that was on my a6 manifold. Mount the IAT on the manifold. just drill a hole while its off and tap for some screws. if you dont have a tap, epoxy it in. no one will see it any way. I put mine on the intake pipe and I saw a solid 3-4MPG drop and my car is running rich now because its not in the right place.
Only one bolt will bolt up so you can't use it.
Works on Z6 fine because the Z6 is basically an upgraded A6 manifold.
Also, by your previous posts, do you have an automatic Y8 manifold?

If you do, you will never be able to bolt it up.
You need a manual intake manifold or some skills machining the holes into the auto manifold.

Sorry. Just cruising through the thread and it seems all sorts of stuff are coming up that apparently aren't your situation.
Xenocron and phearable have chips
They won't be tuned to your specific engine and mods though.
No chip is. You need a tune to get it right.
