How to get my cams to sound like this?

Nah its not vtec killer. He has a dyno vid and you can hear the vtec crossover. No awnser from the vid poster, just says skunk2 cams in the description
if the primary and secondary lobes are really aggressive the idle will be really lopy, like a drag car or built muscle car. when you get small displacement it sounds like an oversized popcorn popper. The point of VTEC is to have an aggressive high rpm cam profile while maintaining low RPM idle stability and driveability.
In racing, where VTEC means very little if you are on the high cam all the time (or never below 3k rpms) then it makes sense to run a cam with aggressive low RPM lobes or as some stated VTEC killers. The benefit is a more stable oil pressure and sometimes less moving parts.
People who run this on a daily driven street car are scene kids.

Why care, be more concerned with getting your car to run properly instead of trying to emulate what another car sounds like.
Well it sounds cool, but its a NA build and i bet it doesnt go that fast. He just has monster Lobes. Like someone stated the point of VTEC is to have 2 sets of lobes so you can maintain drivablility while in low and have power in high. Those are some very beefy cams though, I dont really see the point of having low cams that are that agressive unless you are doing a non-vtec build.
the user isn't doing anything to make his car idle like that, he has cams the have aggressive primary and secondary (outer lobes) and that's what happens when you have a cam that has profiles that have too much lift and duration for low RPM and idle use.
sounds just like this

Yeah, it gets the performance, but if I want the sound to go with it, then I will. I thought i said I wanted intelligent awnsers only.
Now, I get that thats what makes the idle, but there skunk2. Thata what im tryi g to figure out, unless skunk2 has cams like described above?

You're getting intelligent answers. That's what you don't like, lol. Also, I read this on some other honda tech thread, but you can get a similar sound if you pull one spark plug wire. I've heard it can effect your powerband by up to 25%.

How much more intelligent replies do you need? It's quite obvious the main reason you are wanting them is because of the sound first and performance second. These kind of cams are designed to boost mid to high RPM power at the sacrifice low RPM operation, like road racing. Are you going to drive your car at 4000 rpms and above all the time, winding out to 8000+ RPM's?
My B16 was open header since I smashed the exhaust in a really bad dip in the road. So most of the time I had it, there WAS no "civil" daily operation, lol.
