lowering questions - please help
hey i've got a 97 gsr with 215/40/17's on it... my question is will I be able to fit the 2.25" neuspeed race springs without rubbing? I know someone with a 99 gsr that fits those perfectly but he's got aftermarket shocks... does that make any difference?
and then once you have your car lowered where do you go for alignments and rotations? cause most places around here don't touch really low cars.
thanks.

To answer the shocks question ... if yours are worn out and soft ... the ride will be a little more bouncy on the springs ... your best bet .. while changing out those springs to go ahead and put some new adjustible shocks ... AND buy a front and rear camber kit .... people say use the washers and extended bolts on the rears ... but if you live in an area were you said the alignment shops are really picky with lowered cars .... get the front and rear camber kits they shouldnt have a problem doing it with those installed as well ...
check http://www.groupbuycenter.com they have ingals on there .. as well as several differnt type of shocks
From what I understand from your thread is that you are upgrading from stock springs to the Nuespeed springs and leaving your stock shocks.
I would defaintly recommend you upgrading your stock shocks, because this is what is going to prevent you from your wheels rubbing under the fender, go with some adjustables. Koni's or KYB's.
Hoped that helped.

I would say yes ... but you may have take the wheel well plastic out .. and bend or cut the inner fender metal that would rub/gouge the tire
if you get the adjustible shocks ... you can stiffen them up ... so when you hit a bump the body doesnt bounce down as much

hey i got a question about those springs. i have them in my car, i got the kyb's agx's in the front what setting should i put them at? also, for the rear kyb doesn't make them for 2gen tegs so i gotta get 88-91 civic rear shocks. i've been told its better cause the shock is shorter, question is if i get 88-91 civic front are the shorter? and will that make my ride better?

I wasn't planning on changing the shocks just because I wasn't sure how important it was to do that... also I spent enough on a camber kit that I just can't afford shocks right now... my friend who has the race springs and 17's has some tokico's... so does that really make all the difference? his car looks perfect and there's just barely enough room that it doesn't rub...
maybe i should just get the neuspeed sport springs instead of the race springs?
and when you say adjustable shocks are they actually adjusting the height all that much?
i'd rather spend a little more money and time now rather than encounter a problem later on so i'm just trying to figure out all my options.
thanks again.

Shocks= contols the rate rate at which your car bounces.
Springs= supports the stability of your car.
You should have looked into a set of these:
Ground Control Coilover:
In this image we have a red eibach spring, which is wrapped around a red thread sleave, then the sleave goes over the shock, i.e. koni. You then can set your ride height accordingly to your likings by turn that gold *** up for high ride height or down for low ride height. If you turn it down low you get less spring compression, whick in turns gives you a boucier ride.
Then once you have found you ride height you can adjust you Koni's. You can make the ride really stiff or you can nearly make it like stock suspension.
Hope that helps.
Showing off again Dr.Rab01gsr? He only thinks that suspension is cool.
Acutally, it is damn cool.

Do the bodyroll test. Open the door and push on the top of the door frame as if you were trying to push over your car. Or open the truck and bounce it up and down. Or just get a girl in the back seat.
