Not as smart as I thought: SRS light on all the time.
2004 CR-V LX
I thought I could open the driver-side seat belt latch and short two wires to turn off the seat belt alarm (hey, the newest car I'd ever owned was 1974--you could do those things then). I was able to do that-- though there are three wires and it quickly went over my little head--but the SRS light came and stayed on. So I soldered the wires back as they were and put it all back together; SRS still stays on. Disconnected battery to "reset" system, no change.
Tried the bit I saw on YouTube, got the SRS to blink twice but it then stayed on. I understand from other posts that I buggered something in the seat belt sensor. Any clever fixes?

Can you tell me how to do a reset? (I assume you don't mean the procedure I said I've already done, getting the SRS light to blink twice and stay on).
