Default SRS light

I know you are all thinking the same thing reading the title. Some other idiot who didn't search about how to get his SRS light off.

Actually, I tried a few different ways to get it to go off, and it didn't work. Now, the other day I worked on my car for a while, and got a bunch of stuff done. My seat belt wasn't straight; tangled, however you want to explain it, so I unbolted it and straightened it out.

Later that day when I started my car, I noticed that the SRS light was off. Now, my light had been on for quite a long time, and it just so happened to turn off after I did that.

My question is, would the tangled seatbelt have triggered the SRS light? It would appear so, but has anyone else experienced this?

no, unbolting a seat belt and putting it back on would do nothing, since the seat belt switch is in the lock, messing with the belt would do nothing, all the srs wires are yellow and shielded the same way, with yellow. check the fuse panel, or any area where you would have made contact with srs stuff, make sure you disconnect the battery first.

UNPLUGG the plug underneath the drivers seat....this will get rid of the beeping noise and allow the srs lightto just shut off once the seat belt is closed
