Need help please don't know much on Hondas but the other day it just randomly shut off on me and had to try to start it a few times before it would stay running did it again yesterday as soon as I pulled in the driveway the check engine light kept dimming out then stalled but this time wont start back up at all just keeps stalling don't have any idea what It could be but power is not going through the car until I try to start it. like the clock and things don't turn on when the key is in the on postion only when trying to start have no idea what it could be tried putting in a new battery but didn't work

 

icm/coil/main relay/bad connections/ weak,old battery. etc. have you checked the basics before coming here? spark? fuel?

 

I'm with the elect part of the key switch. Key to on and no clock or anything...humm.

Key to on - get a voltmeter or test light and check for 12v on the BLK/YEL wire at the dist? If none, pretty sure the key switch is bad.

Wouldn't hurt to check/get the codes - you stated the cel was on when driving.

Well you pretty much just confirmed the electrical part of the ign/key switch is bad. Replace the electrical part (not the whole key cyl, just the electrical part) of the ign switch and go from there.
