Engine mount replacement help on 96 accord lx with auto
I have replaced the front motor mount with a OEM mount and the vibration I have at idle still is pretty bad.
I took it to a shop and they checked out the others and they all need replacing they said.
Driver Side Engine Mount
I feel like I can do the driver side but a some q's
How to remove and install?
Is 1AAuto parts any good? Saw this part for $48 vs Majestics $173.
The Rear Engine mount
Since I have an 96 accord with Auto and the engine is not the vtech I am seeing that the part with the solenoid is what I need
Again, I see this part at 1AAuto for $75
http://www.1aauto.com/1A/engine-moun...34/506528/1996
vs Majestics at $282
The rear mount I am having the shop do and they quoted me $240 labor since it is such a PITA. Called the dealer out of curiosity and was quoted $815, with $389 being parts and the rest taxes and labor.
Transmission Mount
Then there is the transmission mount that they said also was damaged.
Is this one easily replaced?
I saw the part for $55 at 1AAuto vs $76 at Majestic
If there is anyone who has made these replacements and used aftermarket, can you tell me which ones have held up well?

I replaced all the mounts with aftermarket (oem spec) mounts. I did not have any issues except for the rear mount. The 3 mounting screw holes and the rubber part (where the long bolt goes through) did not match up well, there was a rotation to it. After the install, everything felt pretty solid.
Driver side mount:
Before removing any mounts, you want to make sure you have the engine on a hoist or some type of support. For the driver side, you simply unbolt the long bolt (that goes through the mount) and unbolt the 2 17mm (iirc) that bolts to the post mount. Install is reverse order.
Rear mount:
My engine was a f22b1 auto and it has the vacuum solenoid as well. After returning the defective one I bought from online and buying one from Autozone, everything lined up perfectly.

the only one that is the hard to replace is the rear mount...I've heard people say they can replace it without removing the intake manifold but I don't really see it being done without removing the intake manifold
you'll be fine buying parts from any major parts store...you just don't want to be buying cheap ebay nonbrands
You will need some sort of pry bar when removing the transmission mount to get it to line up. You might have to use the pry bar on the driver side mount side to get the transmission mount to go in. If you don't have access to a hoist you will need to use a jack but make sure you put something ...normally a block of wood in between the jack and the transmission and the jack and the oil pan to remove the transmission and driver side mount respectively. You will raise and lower the engine in order to remove the mounts. You can remove the front mount and install without doing anything to the engine.
