'93 Prelude Engine Swap Help!!
I just bought a '93 prelude, everything stock, and I was looking to swap a H22A OBD 1 DOHC VTEC Engine for the car. I was wondering if any modifications needed to be done, and how to setup the vtec wiring or if any other things were required. I'm just starting off, and would like to know if it would be as easy as ripping out the factory engine and replacing it with the H22.

Can't miss it... Go read please, because that is where you start on every forum.
I just did the swap and was pretty straight forward drop. I have a 95 so I had the plugs for vtec and oil pressure already but my friend ran a wire from vtec solenoid and oil pressure to ecu and we both used our h23 crank pulley with all h23 accessories and harness. Swap only took me a couple days taking my time. You will have to get some headers since the h23 ones don't line up and get a p13 ecu. Good Luck again this is a fairly simple swap I put a h22a4 obd2 in mine and kept it obd1.
prelude swaps are fairly easy if you droppin an h22/f20b in it. your prelude is already wired for vtec, the plug and wire will be mounted on the passanger front wheel well in the engine bay, really hard to miss. if you have the h23 in there now you should be able to use the original harness and motor mounts. get your self a p13 ecu and your good. check out some other prelude owners swap threads. if you look hard enough you will find exactly what your looking for. dont expect anyone to sit there and hold your hand along the way.
f22, h23, h22 and f20b all use the same engine mounts in 4th gen ludes and if its the h23 he can use the same harness for the h22 and ive heard you can use the same harness if its the f22 but if you have the f22 go ahead and order the harness with your h22 when you do order it.
either way its a pretty straight forward swap if you do your research.
theres no need for some one to make a post about something you dont know anything about expecially just to up your post count.
