Default Integra drag weight. How light are you?

I'm curious as to how light people have been able to get 94-01 integras? A good friend has his car sitting at 1915lbs with no carbon/fiberglass parts, 10pt cage, lexan minus windshield, factory gas tank, and a whole lot of cutting. Oh and the car is turbo. Boredom brings up the idea of going lighter so I'm wondering if its even possible without going carbon and fiberglass

2090 no ballast. Full 5 gallon and uncut chassis. full glass and oem trunk. We should tip around 1950 or so after we do some front end changes and trailing arms.

Nice! I'm guessing that's without the driver?

I believe tbmotorworx is around 1900lbs. Can't remember if that is with or without the driver. Quite a bit different car then yours though.

So 2090 is more impressive than 1915? Lol and 1900lbs with driver would be insane for an integra. Maybe it's possible with every carbon body panel available and all tubular suspension

Car has zero carbon or fiberglass. You just need to not be afraid to use the sawzall, grinder, and holesaw

Lexan and I am guessing flimsy doors like TB's car. Also did not say if that was full or empty tank.

That is pretty amazing with factory glass. When you did the dip and reweld on the car, did you guys weigh it before and after?

I'd rather not hole saw my car. What are some other tricks to removing weight. I'll be removing sunroof and making a delete panel. Already removed ac, complete ps and installed manual rack, abs system complete inc wiring and brain, pass airbag and module, removed metal from glove box, wiper, antenna, bumper supports, need rear drag skinnys, should do rear LCA, removed sound deadening material, all rear seatbelt equip, complete rear speaker assemblies, rear hatch plastics ( really heavy btw ). Car requires rear seats for IFO events but I will be modifying them to reduce weight. Are kirky race seats worth it for the fronts? I know tubular rear trailing arms saves a bunch of weight but there to costly at this point. Same with k member. Recently removed very heavy exhaust system, still need to pull all heat shields down.

I have done all this except for removing exhaust and weighed it before caging it was only down to 2370 with full GSR leather interior and no heater core/AC evaporator or anything behind dash.

I know there is a lot to be saved with a carbon beck lid, would love to have one!

tbs integra is around 1900lbs with driver....they went the same time if not a bit faster going from a crx to the integra...

i have my drag cut up and fuel celled 92 prelude down to 1840lbs w/o driver no lexan yet ....and preludes are portly and long....integra's can get down to the 17xxlbs if you use full cut and carbon..hatchs and crx's can probally get close to the 1580's full cut and gut with carbon
