I bought a 99 honda accord ex 3.0 v6 recently and i decided to do my first ever oil change on sunday and everyrhing was fine. Then monday i had.been driving for a little bit maybe 30 min and the oil pressure light came on. I got home and checked the oil it was still full. I dont kbow if it was sometging to do with the oil changr because i know i did everything rightif anybody has had this same thing happen let me know what happened or what yall think i should do thanks

 

Could just be a bad oil pressure sensor. Mine was bad for a while. There is a test that you can do to see if it is the sensor.

Be careful though. You it is supposed to mean something way more serious.

 

Had one go bad before. Make sure oil is getting to the head if you drive it again before looking into the sensor issue.

 

How do you do the test about the sensor and how do i know if oil is getting in the head

 

Oil pressure switch cost $5 at the dealership. My mechanic tells me its a common failure item, so I changed mine and it fixed my oil light.
