Default no good ???

so i ws just here looking http://www.roskoracing.com/H23Vtec.html
and it says h23a is no bueno for an h23vtec. why is that and it says same them there good for something else does anyone know what that something else is. now im bummed out thats what i have an h23a

Actually no, he said that all H blocks are essentially the same, except for the oil squirters on the H22 blocks which the non vtec H23a and a1's do not have, instead they have oil holes pre-drilled into the rods for oiling.

And he said you can either install or not the oil squirters, but its an option and not necessary.

And what you are looking for is the H23a1 crank which is 50mm with 95mm stroke, thats what you have to look for with the H22 pistons, and a couple of them need modification in order to fit.

He never said anything about the H23a is no good for H23vtec, you just need to do your home work and he actually did it for you in his writeup.

If you already have the H23A, then the writeup is sort of pointless, as you already have the factory built big stroke vtec engine. The writeup is more of a guide for those who build franks from other parts.

Says who?? Where is your proof to back up this incomplete statement? Many factors go into picking the correct H series engine combination. Honestly you have no idea what you're talking about posting such a statement. It all is depending on what the purpose is for the desired engine.
