full size rad
im looking to get a full size rad. I pulled ac off my 98 and have a big spot id like to fill.
What radiators will fiut in a 98?? I've searched online but can't really find a comparison. Did find one for head lights tho..lol
Anyway, a shop has one in the denver metro area for 50$ but its off a 01...accord maybe..idk.
I've felt bad all day and was just wandering. Thanks

There's no way you need a full-sized radiator. Even full on track cars use half-sized radiators without any problems. A half-sized will be more than enough. If it's just for cosmetic purposes... sure I guess. I wouldn't though.
Ok. Just thought with more space for cooling, it would keep it a little cooler. Idk.
Thanks

Another thing. An engine has temperatures at which it functions optimally at. Too cold and you're just hurting ****. Too hot, and well... you know that's not good. That's why alot of people are against things like keeping the fan on all the time. Colder's not always better.

thats what the thermostat is for, a bigger radiator is more efficient, the engine maximum temp is determined by a lot of factors including the radiator itself, having a bigger one increases the volume of coolant in the system, which can make for a more stable temp, the thermostat only determines the lowest temp the engine will run at, thats what a lot of people dont understand, so they try to take it out, most of the time the thermostat is wide open, it also acts as a restrictor for the coolant, if it flows to fast through the radiator, heat wont be transferred efficiently
