Default New toy: my 67mm 93 civic hatch

My wife and brother picked this up for me while I play in the sand. I cant wait to get home so i can start working on it and driving it. It should be a badass little car. After 7 years without owning a Honda it feels good to be back.

Its a 2.0l gsr with ls crank and crower rods
Darton M.I.D. sleeves
Cp pistons
Rocket motorsports cams
Crower valvetrain
Fluidampr
VictorX
Full-race topmount
PTE GT4067
Innovate msbc-1
Hasport solid mounts
1000 cc injectors
weldon pump
5 gallon fuel cell
Fast EMS
MSD 7al-2
quaife LSD
Dss 1000 hp axles
Gforce longshifter and t1 mount
CCtwin disc

needs little bit of cosmetic work, like a new bumper, headlights, mid wing removed, wheelie bar mounts removed , parachute mount made etc. It also needs a pump gas tune done as i would like to drive it on the street a little bit without paying 20 bucks a gallon for c16. Im debating on swtiching to e85 but there arent many e85 staitons near me. the closest one to ft drum is in syracuse and the closest one that i know of to baltimore is in annapolis. so i may just switch between pump and c16. Either way i have a few months left to think about it
here are some pictures.

Im going to turn this into sort of a build thread as time goes on. even though its mostly going to be collecting parts for a few months...Thanks for looking. And a big thank you to Rick Everly for putting me into contact with the owner.

Yep! im definitely going to need it, Ive spent the last few years playing with Nissans, road racing and drifting. I haven't even been on a drag race track since 2011 lol, and that was maybe 1 time in the last 5 years.

I was the same way. Fastest car I'd ever taken down the track was an I/h/e gsr swapped hatchback. Got away from all of that and went to an s2000 for a couple of years. Sold the s2000 and decided to get into drag racing. I've got a mild setup now (compared to a lot of you guys), and I'm using it to learn how to drive and gradually go faster. I've really enjoyed it.

Ive owned a turbo Honda in the past. I also had a 2.0l all motor integra. but Ive never had anything at this level. Ive had full on racecars before too, but they were road race/drift cars. Im anxious to see what this type of Hp is like.

looks like a great car! if you want some tips just so you can be safe, take the car to a dyno an see what the a/f is at and see how much timming its on. but over all looks great what are the plans on it.

The car was tuned by Jason Hunt, the tune is good, the plans are to get the car looking like it belongs in this decade for now. and after i get some seat time I would like to try to knock off a 9 second pass. Maybe even a retune and some more boost. I would like to try to make mid 700's with it

What suspension does it have? Does it got traction bars?

Ask the previous owner if he had he car corner balanced. I was looking at the board you have we're the glove goes and this car looks like it has some technology from 2002... When was this car built? Not hating just asking.

Omni drag. yes it has traction bars. alot of the electronics are older. but everything has very little use. the car also came with hondata s300 bnib. the engine and trans are fresh, the turbo still has low miles, it needs a little updating. but nothing that is a big deal

Like I said though there is a lack of e85 stations near me both at home and at fort drum. I'm still unsure about switching the management also. What can the Hondata really do better than whats on the car already? besides lean protection? I ask because I'm unsure. the car is already capable of BBG with the MSBC-1. Ive used Hondata s200 in the past and i had some problems with their customer support. The product worked great, but if the Hondata doesn't do anything better than the FAST I would rather not make the switch.

I have an s300 an it works great its just to clean up the wiring you have but, since you already have it there just keep it until it starts giving you problems. Keep us updated on the build looks like a great car and go E-85 that car is not going to be your daily so buy a 5 gallon gas tank an your good to go!

I would switch to s300 to keep it simple, you currently have 3 different boxes wired up (fast, msd 2 step, fast data logger) and hondata has that all in 1. Buy a drum of e85 and store it.

true but the FAST is already in the car and working. the car is missing both the factory engine harness and the dash harness. Ill probably keep the FAST for now and get it tuned on pump gas then closer to the end of this deployment ill buy either some ID2000's or FIC injectors and get tuned on e85 when i get home. I see no reason to keep the car on c16 considering it makes less power than e85 and costs 6x more per gallon.

Wife sent me this the other day, it showed up from poland. Im going to use it to hide the wires coming out of the bottom of the boost controller. Im also ordering the new bumper, Si front lip, and headlights on the 15th. My brother also has a grey glove box laying around that Im going to put back on to hide some of the stuff on the ECU panel. ill probably have to do a little cutting on the box though.

So the fun begins. I got home and drove the car a few times. I started it to put it on the trailer to bring it home and it shut off in the driveway. It snapped the exhaust cam in two places. I pulled the head off and found 2 bent exhaust valves. The valve springs and retainers were beginning to show signs of wear on both the intake and exhaust sides also.

I'm upgrading the exhaust valves to Supertech Inconel, Upgrading the cams to Brian Crower stage 2 NA cams which have a little less lift than the cams that were in it and a little bit better street manners. I'm also going to Supertech 85lb seat pressure valve springs and supertech Ti retainers.

I did manage to get a few other things done on the car while It was sitting in the garage. I'll let the pictures do the talking

Removed the mid wing and added the duckbill

Removed the factory cluster and got the 5" tach off the dash and into the factory cluster area also was able to hide the shift light.
From this

To this

Added the european center console and hid the wires for the boost controller.

Changed the headlights/corners

Thats it for now Ill try to keep the thread updated as parts start rolling in But Im pretty bad about taking pictures while Im working. Thanks for looking

What cams were in it? I would think it would damage the intake before the exhaust since there is more lift on the intake cam.
