Hey h-t I have a 97 civic and I just put a d15b full swap with the rare p2j-003 ecu and I'm only getin 25 30 mpg and I'm even getting the eco light to go on so plzzzz help wat do I think it can be

So, you paired a D15B(I'm assuming 7) with an ECU made for a D15Z7 and are expecting it to fart rainbows?

 

Na I have the 3 stage vtec motor with the 2 silanoids and the ecu for it but in Japan the model is d15b not d15z7

 

Any check engine lights?
How did you wire everything (vtec, egr, etc)?
Any maintenance?

Yea no cel and wat maintence And I'm about 90% sure it is wired good and it runs perfect I mean the motor is really smooth so idk cuz I should be getin 35 and up mpg

Maintenance. Like a full tune-up. Did you do one? Are you driving for MPG all the time or do you floor it most of the time?

 

Haven't done A tune up on it but i plAne to cap rotor wires and plugs and I drive both ways but mostly for mpg but my old y8 got better mpg and I use to drive it flooring it most of the time

What kind of mileage are you expecting? How about don't floor it all all and THEN start complaining?

 

Gotta floor it for that vtak doe. Looking at the grammar and annoying bumping, I'd say there was no math involved in figuring out the gas mileage. I think he's just guessing at it.

 

Well I got a 11.9 gallon tank and I'm doin from 400 to 500 km per tank wich is around 25 to 30 mpg and 500 km was the max I gotten.in my old y8 I've gotten 600km and that with beating it so iv done math. And dog it somtimes not all the time

 

If I don't keep my vx in lean burn I get 38 in lean burn 50 ish. Hook up a mpguino or an a/f meter minutes your driving and what trans you running. Breaks dragging air pressure in tires foot in throttle. All will kill mpg. My cx gets better mpg just driving than the vx you have to try to get the mpg.

 

The motor came with a one wire o2 sensor but the ex harness dose not work with that but in getting no cel or anything whould that cause it

 

Don't go by the size of the tank. When you fill up, how many gallons does your car actually take to full?

 

Not running an O2 will def effect mileage.

 

The day I got the most mileage it fill about 11.3 or somthing like that

 

And if there no cel whould it or is it cuz it's not connected it dosent show a cel light

 

Idk why there's no cel. I'm guessing you already confirmed it works. Sounds like something might be wired wrong.

But idk even when I drive the 60 km wich says I whould get 70.6 mpg but still not getin anything like that

 

But even today I was driving 60km wich says u get 70.6 mpg I get the ecno light but still no so good mpg
