5th gen prelude oil problem.
I have a 2000 honda prelude that is my daily driver. I recently got an oil change about 1000 miles ago. Earlier on today the oil light sensor began flashing and I go to check the oil and theres nothing on the dipstick. I got the oil drained and there was 4 quarts missing. I took it to a local tire and lube place to have them check it out and they said that it looked like it was about to start to drip oil out from a few different places but I've never noticed any type of leaking in my drive way at all. So I took it to a trusted mechanic and he said that he didn't see it leaking any oil but it must have been burning oil. I know h22's are known for burning oil but 4 quarts in 1000 miles sounds a bit insane. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or what I need to do to slow the burning down a bit or change the rings or even have to replace the whole motor. Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks guys.

With a fresh change of oil, just drive it a bit, and be really mindfull of what is going on, i.e. check the oil every day/ 100 miles, watch like a hawk for drips, watch your rearview for smoke or have someone drive behind you and keep an eye out, idle the car and watch the tailpipe for any smoke as it warms up.
Thanks guys. It just seems a bit insane that I burned 4 quarts though. I've never noticed any leaks or I've never seen a ton of smoke come out there is some when you rev it high but thats it. There is a little bit of sut from time to time that collects on the back bumper I know thats a sign that it is burning oil. But is there any other reason it could be burning oil besides rings or valves?
