92 db2 brake issue
For the last month I havn't had any brakes on the back, the pads were gone, the calipers and rotors were shot so 2 days ago i installed new rotors, pads, and some re-maned calipers I had found in the junk yard. I bled the hell out of the brakes and had steady pressure on all 4 that day. The next day, no brake pedal at all, drivers side caliper is sticking and making a horrible racket so I figured just bleed them again only this time there is no fluid coming from the calipers whatsoever and thats after bleeding them for over an hour. what do you guys think? Lines clogged?, Master cylinder not working? I'm stuck and its my only dd to work so the last 2 days I drove to work(interstate mostly) with no brakes. I know it takes some time for the new pads to seat but this is not right.
You've got something stuck somewhere. Is the pedal still on the floor or did it come back. You may just have an asston of air in it. Also if you have abs make sure the abs reservoir is full.
The pedal basically goes to the floor before I feel the slightest bit of brake. After the new parts were put on I bled the brake system for the first time for about an hour and had steady fluid after bleeding on all four, but no brakes. Next day bled each one again for about another hour or so to make sure there was no air and never seen the first drop of fluid on any caliper. I still have absolutely no brakes and the fluid level in the reservoir has not went down at all after bleeding. The fluid level in the abs reservoir is good. hadn't had to top it off or anything.
