Default ECU Options?

I'd like to convert my 1999 Honda Prelude to OBD I, I know I would need something like this: http://kspecracing.com/i-57135.aspx But, would I have to get a different ECU as well? And if so which one would be best for my car? Thanks guys!

Why would you seriously think that your obd2 ecu would also work as an obd1 ecu ?

Individuals who convert down to obd-1 do so to take advantage of an ECU that can be tuned for their project. This of course will require a jumper harness, a OBD-1 type ecu and proper tuning. However, if your H22 is unmodified, there is no need to convert down to obd-1. The factory ecu would be fine for lightly modified engines (bolt ons).

Another option, if you do plan on getting an engine management system for tuning your project. The factory ECU can be ditched in favor of a plug and play AEM Electronics EMS system that will plug directly into the factory OBD2 ecu plugs. No need for a jumper harness and no need for an older style ecu.
