b16a engine questions
Hey guys so I've been researching for 2 hours before posting my questions so please do not bash me for not searching before asking. Anyways I just pulled a b16a obd2 second gen out of a canadian 99-00 sir. My first question would be whether or not that is a swap. Everywhere I looked it says that those engines are from jdm sirs or jdm del sol. This was a left hand drive canadian sir. The head is stamped with the year 94 but is obd2 so when i researched, apperently the jdm second gen is obd1... I've found a few sites regarding transmissions and I have an s21. 3 sites told me it is a non lsd trans, and 1 site said it was an optional lsd and is a jdm trans basically same as usdm b16a2 y21. Can someone shed some light on these questions or give me some links to point me in the accurate direction? Thanks
The S21 transmission is for the Del Sol VTEC, as well as the 99-00 Civic SI.
If it's OBD2, It's a B16A2/A4. The CDM SiR is the USDM SI, so it should be a B16A2. Double check the block stamp. A 94 stamped head means it came from a 95 car, which would mean it's OBD1. Double check your block stamp. It could be from a SiR-II B16A, B16A2, or B16A3.

The block stamp is b16a i cleaned it and rechecked it and blinked twice haha I'm confused as hell because the car is 99-00 and it has a p2t ecu which i cant find any info on... Is it possible that someone swapped a obd1 engine into a obd2 car? I think i have a couple pics
