Have been having problems with SRS warning light coming on and staying on. We did some research and learned there are some recalls on models like ours. Honda dealers say the limit on recalls service is 80k.. We have 134k on this car.

You don't list what car, or if it's been in an accident before. Have you had someone pull the SRS code for you yet to see what is wrong?

 

It is a 2001 EX V6 with 134k miles. We bought it in 2007 and the prior owner mentioned a minor front end accident. This SRS light has never come on before and wondering why it is now and issue.

Could be as simple as a seatbelt sensor, the dealership should be able to scan the system for you and get the code for not much cost, then use that to determine what the fix is.
