I was driving going 70, then I was speeding up to 80. My 94 Honda civic EX auto D16Z6 shifted down to 3rd gear and was maintaining 6500 rpms, engine popped then white smoke was pouring out of the bay. Wondering if someone knew exactly what it would be, and maybe a estimated price on how much it would be to fix it?

Did you check rad. Hoses to see if any sprung a leak under the pressure? Does the car still crank and if so does it run the same? Did you lose any coolant? If you did lose any fill it back up if after you do fill it up if you did lose any, crank it with the hood popped look under the hood and see if you see any visible leaks... if not the your next best bet is to probably rent a coolant system pressure checker from a local parts store. And try that, if it doesnt hold pressure and there are no signs of external leakage.. you next should do a leak down test to check for leakage in your cylinders, HG, etc....

 

take it to a mechanic. Diagnostic over the internet with no real info isnt helping you.
