Looks like it might be your oil sensor wire.

Yep, there should be a sensor just above your oil filter threaded into the block. The sensor body itself looks like a slightly rounded 23ish mm bolt, and should have a little metal "nipple" sticking out of the middle of it. That plug should go right on that metal nipple.

When you start the car, is your oil light or CEL on?

The search feature is also worthless, unless you're damn good at using it. A much better way to search is to use Google, and at the end of what you're looking for, put in "site:honda-tech.com". That will restrict your search to this site. Google's search algorithms are also a lot better than vBulletin's, especially when it comes to dealing with an average computer user.

Nope. doesn't have the right end. If it's one wire (usually red/blue) it's for the knock sensor, the outer shell of the plug is missing though.

The picture is too fuzzy for me to tell, but it looks square, just like mine. Also can't tell the wire color, unfortunately. Regardless of which color it is, the outer shell is missing - the oil sensor plug has that big fat black boot.

The color of that wire, as well as the wire you have plugged into your knock sensor would both be useful things to know.

Looks pink (red) and blue which indicates knock. That coupled with your cel would confirm that.

Yeah, it looks like a Hershey's kiss. The plug inside the boot doesn't look like the pic at all though, and the wire color for it is red/yellow.

it is for the knock sensor. the whole time i thought the oil pressure sensor was the knock sensor . because the outer shell is missing it wouldnt stay on the sensor so i had the wire cut and spliced to give it more slack and taped onto the sensor. no more check engine light . is it ok to post my smog results in this thread to get some feedback? it failed the 15 mph test..

I'd recommend that you create a new thread for this^ issue. You can post the sheet there.
