quick wiring/electrical question. pics inside
Hello, ok ill get right to it. i purchased my 98 integra already with a b18c swap done.
Whoever wired the car must of been A. drunk B. high as hell or C. just didnt know what he was doing.
I'v been slowly rewiring the car and SOLDER EVERYTHING BECAUSE ALL THE WIRES ARE JUST TWISTED TOGETHER. and i finally came upon the main emgome harness inside the engine bay and there are a few of these "bigger" wires with either one wire connected to it or a few wires coming out of it. i want to redo them but im not sure if these 'bigger" wires are OEM spec or a handyman special.
don't want to just start cutting stuff without knowing if i can easily resolder them or not.
so just let me know what you think they are!
the top and bottom ones only have one wire atached to it and the middle wire has about 3-4 wires coming out. the bigger wires are gray. thanks

I kind of sliced it open a bit to see what was inside and i dont know if you can tell by this photo but the blue wire goes all the way into the gray wire and the metal of the gray wire goes around the blue wire and out the end where the two are "connected"
confused.....
confused.....
What area are those wires going to ? don't think that's oem looks like a little wire shoved to a big one no electrical tape even. does that gray one go all the way to the firewall ?
its the harness that im holding in my hand
Those are shielded wires pretty sure they have to be oem don't think drunken stupor guy would have repinned connectors and used shielded wires. My wife's da had some but my 95 gsr didn't so I can't be certain.
Trust me, with the amount of just down right awful wiring in this car its easy just to blame him when i see something "odd" retaining too electrical haha
But its all getting slowly fixed up to how it SHOULD of been done

Ditto the above^^^, they are OEM, and as mentioned they are shielded leads, the shields are grounded at a common ground point.
Shielded leads are used in both auto and manual transmission cars. 94
