Default 2 problems on rebuilt d16z6...

Problem #1 Engine squeaks at idle and while driving coming from driver side, either belt, water pump, timing gear, tensioner, altenator idk. Im at a loss belt isnt rubbing anthing its not too tight or loose. Motor runs strong starts up quick. Shakes the car a bit

Problem #2 damn loud *** ticking!! Driving me crazy. Was told it could be my LMA's. But i had the rocker assmbley off and pressed them. Didnt see a problem in any cause they all had same pressure/resistance. It ticks at idle and i hear it tick while im driving and it gets louder with rpm. Valves have been adjusted twice.

Did you oil prime the eng before you started it? If not, you oop$ed something inside.

Are you sure you adjusted the valves properly when you rebuilt the engine? If the valves are OK, then its probably LMAs

I bumped the engine a few times before start. Didnt have a oil primer. Bad first start im not sure. It has 100 miles on it now i'm just chasing these problems. Is a d15 timing belt the same as a d16. Ive tighten the timing belt and changed the alt belt. Belt isn't too tight.

I adjusted the valves to what the setting say on the hood of the car. First time adjusting valves, so im not sure how tight the grip should be on the gauge. I had someone else adjust the valves First cause he re-seated all valves. then i re-did them.

Smh- oh, man. You can unplug the main relay and turn it over w/o spark plugs in for a bit before 1st start-up. That's what I do. To avoid any dry startups on rebuilds. Bumping it a handful of times is not sufficient for a fresh set of bearings. Anyone else agree??

Oh no, sorry let me elaborate more. What i do to prime the motor is remove the negitive from the far end of the engine harness. Not sure of the correct name but i know its a main ground. Which cranks the motor but wont start it. Sorry for the confusion.

A video would be great.
The squeak, does it sound like it is coming from metal to metal contact? When did the noise first occur.

The ticking noise is coming from where exactly?

Can i text a video to you. Im not on a computer and dont know how to upliad on here. The squeak is questionable it could be either im not too sure. The tick sounds like its coming from the dizzy side if the valve cover. I lean my head on the valve cover and follow the sound.

Off topic Ive had a tick on my b18 once before because i
Trusted another guy to put it in timeing long story short 50 miles from home my tensioner bolt brakes off inside the block!!! I SOL lol but i kno that soubd now and its not that
