B series newbie turbo help
Hey guys, I am a newbie and I've studied a bit about forced induction. I have a stock B18C1 motor that I want to turbo, but unfortunately, dont have that much to spend as I just want to experience having a turbo'ed car. I have a plan already, but I just need a second opinion if what i am doing is right. I was planning to buy a turbo by itself from Go-autoworks, or a website alike, maybe a Garret for around 685 dollars and just get a intercooler piping kit from Ebay.
Now that I have stated my plan. I want to know if this is a good idea. A complete turbo kit from go-autoworks is gonna cost me roughly around $2,100 minus the shipping. I am wondering if this build would be possible (ebay piping kit + legit turbo) for less than $2,100? And if someone could guide me to what kits on eBay i could buy because I can't find a kit with everything but the turbo. I live in Vancouver BC Canada if that helps. thanks guys. I know im a newbie but please don't criticize me, i am here to learn.
EDIT: I also had another idea but forgot to post. There is a B series full turbokit on eBay for around $700. Comes with everything. How hard would it be for me to sell the eBay turbo kit by itself and just use the other parts to complete my own turbo kit with a legit turbo. So what im basically going to do is buy a full turbo kit and replace the actual turbo itself with a reliable one.

dont buy an ebay turbo
turbo kit is best bet for you. going to need more funds available to turbo a vehicle and as of right now your knowledge is no where near where it needs to be to get started on a parts list. study and read build threads here. its going to take some time...a lot of time like a year or so worth before you get started. going turbo isnt cheap because things do happen normal parts can fail things have to be changed and accounted for. im pretty sure you skipped the gray area on the top of this forum which has a FAQ

this is what on my journey to turbo
pick a part and research it, basically break down your build part by part and research it. research does not mean "help me build a fun safe motor for cheap", ya dig. anything you can think of has been done because turboing hondas has been around for over a decade

You've never said anything about a turbo manifold. .. you cant just buy a turbo and intercooler stuff and magically bolt the turbo to the motor...
Don't get an ebay turbo kit, the turbos, wastegates and blow off valves are ****
Don't get an ebay tubular manifold either, they crack everywhere quickly
Just buy a cast manifold, ebay or brand name, doesn't matter as they are all the same thing
You havent stated a power goal so just buying a random turbo will do you no good, we need specifics on what you're looking for
Nor have you mentioned an engine management solution.... you cant just bolt up a kit to a 100% stock engine and expect to make it down the street, you'll need a walbro 255 fuel pump, bigger injectors abd a chipped ecu at the least and you'll still need to have it tuned.
