Default WHP EK Question

Always been wondering what kinda speeds those turbo'ed setups reach? I rarely see videos where people top their turbos or talk about it? So im curious, if an stock GSR @ 160whp would top out on like 220km/h?

What kinda top speeds would it reach at
250whp
300whp
350whp?

Sorry for the stupid question, but im really curious.

This is bench racing. No tech here. If you really want to know, build it and then race it.

you're going to top out at the same speed no matter what HP you have. it all comes down to what transmission you have and your max rpm you can reach without blowing the motor up. the WHP is only going to determine how fast you reach your top speed. not your max speed

How is the top speed not the same as the max speed?

While he used the wrong words, he's trying to say whp = acceleration, gearing/max RPM = top speed.

top speed has nothing to do with hp. IMO its more of drivetrain. The ratio of the final gear is what will tell you your top speed.
the hp is just how fast you get there. 0-60 times etc..

Ya, I can understand that there is more to reaching the top speed other than pure power, but if you'd fit in something like a LS tranny while you'd have a humble 300whp

any estimated top speeds?

thanks for the opinions btw

Bench racing. Not allowed per the rules. It's not technical and really serves no purpose. If you "just want to know" or are "just curious" then do some research or build it.

There are only a dozen calculators on the internet that will answer that question for you. Matter of fact, I'll even help you out with the first one you should look at.

http://www.zealautowerks.com/transcalc.php

You can figure it out from there.

Over here in the UK, we swap a s9b gearbox into most turbo powered cars as all of the gears ratios are alot longer even the final drive over the stock s4c of a vti
