Hey there I recnetly pumped a full tank of gas and the next day i noticed a Malfunction indicator lamp and i had it OBD2 scan it and this code, P1457 come on.
the light has since left because of the scan, but what do i do now? The mechanic placed a seal around the inside part of the gas cap (as it may be due to evaporation coming out of the gas cap)

 

that is probably what it was then, a small evap leak.

 

Get a new gas cap and make sure it clicks at least 3 times when you put it on.

 

well the mechanic put some seal I havent seen the light come on yet so will keep yuu guys posted. thanks for the input. that light is extremely annoying.
