Default Ebay strut tower bars

So I know that there is a lot of debate on eBay stuff being junk, and for the most part I agree. But I purchased some EBAY K2 Speed strut tower bars for my friends 98 civic. He is sitting on stock struts and springs. I must say I was impressed with these cheap parts. I got front and rear. The part fit with no problem and even more amazingly you could actually feel the results. The ride is stiffer, and turns are a lotmoother at higher speeds. I'm not saying take it on the track, but for street application I must say it was well worth it. It's just all together more enjoyable to drive.

Just thought I'd put in my two sense on these.

Funny. I can't find anything on Ebay when I search for "K2 Speed strut tower bars".

TayLude, you're confusing yourself. When people say "eBay" parts, they're talking specifically about no-name cheap stuff that was made in Taiwan or China or some other country with no labor laws, or QA laws. K2 is an actual, legitimate (although lower rung) company. Just because it was bought on eBay doesn't instantly make it an "eBay part". Don't worry, it's a common misconception.

I suspected as much. I was in the middle of tracking them down. Usually these places throw their name into the item description making it easier to find.
If they look like this

they're Ebay level all right. Knock-offs of the same design STBs all over Ebay. If they're not solid then they flex.

^ lol, in my opinion you can tell they're ebay level when the image has a speedometer, the words JDM somewhere, or a flashy irrelevant car in the background..

but OP, if you say the 2 strut bars helped reinforce the chassis, more power to ya!

If they have joints then they don't do much but flex at those joints.
I got a bar for around $15 (free because I had ebucks).
But mines mounts and is made the same as the si bar.

I agree man. I bought a couple ebay strut bars and for the $20 a piece I paid they really aren't all that bad. all metal parts and I was able to get the bars very snug with no flex.

Uh, they still flex. Just because YOU can't flex them with your bare hands doesn't mean they don't flex.

I'm not sure if there is much flex with the OEM type R strut bar I put on my EG hatch BUT I do know that the reduction of body roll on both the street and windy roads improved significantly over the previous stock setup, however, sure wish I'd spent that on a good sway bar instead. But it looks cool. If looks is your thing eBay it up I say. Knock off non track bling hooptee mafia would probably approve.

The ride got stiffer? Are you serious?

Want a strut bar? Look for something solid, with NO joints.

I didn't say they were perfect. I'm sure they flex. I said I was happy with my $20 ebay parts. I understand they aren't great but I like them and that's what matters.
