I bought this red jdm eg6 and it came with this pretty sweet vented fibreglass hood and it's caled "VimTower" I havnt been able to find anything on it. Has anyone ever heard of this brand or this hood? Let know.

 

Don't get it. So what if we have? How do you know it's called that? Is there a tag on it or something? Nothing on the net about it anywhere.

Finding nothing even resembling that name anywhere. Possibly it was a local company?

If you google "Vimtower civic" the old add will show up on beyond.ca and that's the car I bought and that seems to be the only thing I've ever found

As an aside - how does the rest of the car look? Gutted? Wrecked?

 

The car was good it came with bride seats, sprint hart's on the front and inter Milanos on the rear a Mugen header and a HKS exhaust, like the car was a decent car till it was smashed. So I guess it's gutted now I've been pulling parts off it and the rear quarter and rad support is dented in but I mean I bought the car for the parts with intentions of simply giving it away after I take what I need off of it. I bought the car for $1000, i took the clock, cluster and climate control and threw it into my eg, the motor is going into my eg along with everything else I decide I want. Ill possibly take that rear sway bar off it to since its there. I already made my money back off the car plus some... And I still have lots on it. Nice DIY write ups by the way man!

 

Nice. I kinda have the same thing here (I'm in S'toon) - I have a JDM EG6 in the garage. Got mine for $300, but no motor. Lots of great parts though. Planning on a full rear trunk box swap eventually, a full JDM AUTO climate control swap, among other things. Don't forget to poach the bronze glass from it.

 

From what i reconize from the hood it looks like a form of J's racing style hood maybe a knock off brand of it or somthing an from what i looked up on it. It seemes to be a form of the FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) T type J's racing hood. Its most likely a knock off brand of it maybe you can post in the J's racing thread an get more information of some sort.. Also are the fenders fiberglass? An got pics pf them if they are?

 

Jdmpopper, no man sorry they are the oem fenders I'm gonna look into the j's hood and compare. I think the Vimtower hood is worth repairing and painting I have everything to do it so ill do it and rock it when I go down to track the car or whatever. But I appreciate the help.
