Default Will an AUTOMATIC trans ECU work on a MANUAL?

So either my ecu or distributor is fried. I have a P0B-A51 ECU from my old auto accord. Will this work in lieu of the P0B-A01 ECU for a manual trans accord? I remember these accords had a separate trans computer, so I'm not sure. Thanks guys.

Yes, but you might get a check engine light and it may not run the greatest. What year?

You can try some searches, but offhand I believe you can use an auto ecu in a car with manual tranny but not the opposite...atleast from an obd1 standpoint...and ya I believe you will throw a code.

I know the P0A can be converted without setting a code, so I wouldn't think the P0B would be different???? "pgmfi.org" and some reading/searching might help. Just an idea.
