Bad IACV?
I've been having some idling issues lately and I'm wondering if maybe it's my IACV or my ECM. Under a load my idle goes back and forth between 900-1200, with a frequency of about 3 seconds. This is with my AC, radio, and headlights on. No load, it will idle fine at 900 (including when the compressor kicks off for a few seconds). If I turn my AC on and loosen the idle screw, the surges will stop, but my idle will be at 1200 under load and go up to 1500 if the AC is off.
I'm not getting a code 14, I'm getting 12v to the IACV wires, and when I took it out to clean it I hit it a few times with 12v I could clearly see the valve opening and shutting.
My FITV has been adjusted and isn't sucking in any air after it heats up and my timing and TPS have been properly calibrated.
This leaves me to believe that I either have the wrong IACV (I thought they were universal) or I have a problem with the ECU keeping up with the exact time to open and shut the valve.
I do have a code 41 that I haven't looked into yet if that makes a difference.
