98 GSR HELP!!
So yesterday I changed my alt belt, oil and fuel filter. While changing the fuel filter, unintentionally hit the positive terminal and threw sparks. Thought nothing of it. Go to start the car, dash lights up, everything good. Even reset the maintenance light. Go to turn it over and everything went black like there was no battery. Played with the terminals and nothing. Then on it's own while the key was in "on" Everything came back on and it started up. Has done it two more times since. Any ideas on what it could be???
sounds like you either have a bad ground or a bad hot side. my vote is on a bad hot side. im suprised you didnt blow the fuse for the altenator. check the fuse and wiring to make sure nothing is burnt and everything is secure

I'll have to check. I was surprised i didn't also. That was my first thought when it happened. Other thing i noticed was while driving the radio would randomly turn off then instantly back on... Anyone else?
