Swaping Stock Wheel Studs for Extended Studs
So I bought a set of rims for my 2001 V on Craigslist. Bolt pattern checked out, backspacing checked out; I got my tires mounted, painted the rims and went to go put them on only to find out.......the wheel studs don't clear
. I've been researching extended wheel studs for the V's but can't seem to come up with anything definite so I'm turning to you guys. So my questions to you are; Do you HAVE to remove the hub to change wheel studs? some things I've say yes, others say no. Also does anybody have extended studs they can reccomend? I need something about 1/2" longer than stock. Any help is appreciated guys.

Well it looks like I'll try to find another solution. Has anyone ever used E/T ultra mag lugnuts like these? http://www.brandsport.com/grla-21138etxl.html The lugnuts I have now only grab 1/8" of the stud but these seem like they'd grab 5/8". would that be safe?
